TB-500 is a synthetic peptide derived from thymosin beta-4, a 43-amino-acid protein found in nearly all cells that binds actin, the protein cells use to change shape and move. It is commonly researched for its role in cell migration, new blood-vessel formation and tissue regeneration. The two are studied in the same kinds of model through different mechanisms, which is why the pairing is the one most often bought as two separate vials. The blend simply supplies it as one: the same two peptides at a fixed one-to-one proportion, one reconstitution. The literature on each is almost entirely pre-clinical, neither is a licensed medicine, and the World Anti-Doping Agency prohibits both in sport.
