Selank Nasal Spray 5MG

Selank Nasal Spray contains 5mg of Selank per bottle. Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide, seven amino acids in the order Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro, with the molecular formula C33H57N11O9, a molecular weight of about 751.9 g/mol and the CAS number 129954-34-3. Its first four residues are tuftsin, a natural fragment of the antibody molecule IgG with a role in immune signalling, and the last three are a proline-glycine-proline tail added for stability, the same tail used on Semax. It was developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. It is commonly researched in models of anxiety and the stress response, and for its effects on the brain's monoamine systems, serotonin metabolism in particular, and on brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF); its immune origin means it is also studied where the nervous and immune systems overlap. Most of the findings come from animal studies and the clinical data are limited. It is sold through pharmacies in Russia but is not a licensed medicine in the UK, the EU or the US.
